The mission of DRSdigital is to "facilitate due diligence for large scale financial transactions."

The company is the brainchild of a lawyer from Lehman and a manager from the M&A department at Siemens. Founded in Germany in 200I, DRS was one of the very few European companies to develop virtual data room technology and the only one to focus exclusively on this type of service. It currently operates across most of Europe and in the USA and its solutions are used for large scale financial transactions valued between 10 million and 5 billion euros. DRS collaborates with banks, law firms, advisors and real estate companies. Its solutions are considered to be the fastest and easiest to use, regularly chosen for their intuitive features, which are the result of close collaboration between software engineers and finance specialists. It provides a full range of virtual data room services for mergers and corporate takeovers, securitization and sales of real estate portfolios, private equity and non-performing loans. These advanced solutions have made the use of physical data rooms obsolete and uneconomical in the due diligence process for large scale transactions. "Virtual data room technology has made it possible to review and evaluate large volumes of documents in an optimal way, greatly expediting and enhancing the transaction process" -explains Maurizio Campese, CEO at DRSdigital Italia - "and has also made simultaneous access by multiple authorized users possible, thereby guaranteeing confidentiality, security and considerable savings on human resources". These services are expected to expand substantially in the coming five years; Campese's objective is to extend them to other sectors too, "to all those who need to share confidential documents in an efficient, yet absolutely secure way".
