DRSdigital Enhances its Portfolio in Partnership with Scalaris
DRSdigital AG, a leading provider of virtual data rooms, integrates the Corporate Development Services (CDS) of Scalaris AG into its products and services portfolio.
Zug, February 28th, 2011 -The Scalaris Corporate Development Services (CDS) portfolio comprises tailored solutions for the collection, evaluation and secure reporting of transaction-related background information. Companies use this information to support strategic growth projects like Mergers & Acquisitions. From selecting prospective acquisition targets all the way to consolidation activities, having the right background information is invaluable.
The DRSdigital portfolio of products and services supports several aspects of the M&A lifecycle. The addition of Counter-party Intelligence from the Scalaris CDS portfolio rounds out the DRSdigital offering and allows potential customers to utilize DRSdigital as a one-stop shop for their transaction needs.
Counterparty Intelligence delivers in-depth background analyses about markets, companies and people. "We combine top-class sources of knowledge from all over the world with sophisticated technology for quick analysis and secure reporting of relevant information. This allows us to provide the involved companies or their intermediaries with significant expert reports of people, organizations and circumstances within a short period of time", states Philipp Sander, member of the Executive Board from Scalaris AG.
For the systematic collection and analysis of the required information, Scalaris combines so-called OSINT and HUMINT resources with modern IT forensics. Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is publicly accessible information sources such as commercial registers, newspapers, scientific publications, radio and television. Private information and news providers like Dialog, Lexis-Nexis, Dow Jones and World-Check are particularly important sources of OSINT. However, Scalaris also relies on its extensive worldwide Human Intelligence Network (HUMINT). This "on-the-ground" intelligence, which is collected and analyzed by specialized investigators, adds the direct observation component to data gathering.
"Through the partnership with Scalaris, we expand our service portfolio with exclusive knowledge that we can access from around the globe. Our customers benefit from qualified analyses that show both the opportunities and risks of their potential investments", comments Jan Hoffmeister, Managing Partner of DRSdigital AG in Switzerland.
